Part of the Window Series - experiments with minimal use of paint and calmative decorative style

Philosophy

Practically - I have sought to give an impression of drawn movement by applying the paint from lower right to upper left - also giving a gentle curve. I have also underpainted this to show the effect of a glowing brown. This painting reveals the fact that I am left handed.

Philosophically - Whenever I am not allowed to do something or go somewhere I often get that flagging feeling which tries to pull me down to the depths of depression and negativity. So, as a therapy, I have produced this work simply showing a relaxed movement towards the light.
