Part of the White Spirit Series - experiments with acrylics and other liquid media.

Philosophy

Practically - Dominant brown is diluted by the different liquids in different ways. I let the white be tinted by the brown, but not the blue. It was important to underpaint thoroughly and thickly.

Philosophically - The contrast here is the difference between this world - the outer world, and the spiritual realm - the inner world. But this is not just an observation. It is as though I am making the inner world manifest in this outer world by the exercise of abstract work.
