Surrealism experiment with pencils

Philosophy

Practically - After having spent quite a time drawing preparatory sketches I proceeded with a light drawing in graphite, and slowly worked into this unusual picture with both graphite and coloured pencils.

Philosophically - On the outside world the body sleeps. And yet seeking to manage utter control in as many areas of possible - it calls, wolflike, to itself. Fearfully it knows that on the inside world it is perpetually being drawn into subjection.

But the body fearfully denies the inside world, and in so doing it conjures up the dwellers of the moor ...
