Surrealism experiment with pencils

Philosophy

Practically - After having spent quite a time drawing preparatory sketches I proceeded with a light drawing in graphite, and slowly worked into the image with both graphite and coloured pencils.

Philosophically - One of a modern wall art series of four. Each creature has its own vision of grandeur.

In this case the fish hungrily swallows the moon ... like devouring knowledge in order to gain wisdom - it might have to leave its safe environment ... but it will be worth it - won't it?
