Surrealism experiment with pencils

Philosophy

Practically - After having spent quite a time drawing preparatory sketches I proceeded with a light drawing in graphite, and slowly worked into this modern wall art work with both graphite and coloured pencils.

Philosophically - The second in a series of images based upon words or phrases of power.

Although these words are uttered by one person they are actually to do with creating a bond, or swearing an oath ... this is an ancient, almost forgotten tradition - when a "yes" meant just that ... unto death if necessary. Here stands a commitment required both by the one who is asking, and by the one who is being asked.

And so now the true and wonderful magical awakens ... for when these words are spoken from the heart - each person who is involved will potentially have their lives completely changed - by each other - and for ever!
