Totem - I Love You
The first in a series on the subject of magical words
and spells - real ones!
The all seeing eye holding the wand casts the spell, the selfish bird
offers its chest as sacrifice, the mayan shaman points
the challenging
finger and is caressed by the sensual snake -
he (or she) holds, and has
command, of a lucky horseshoe.
These characters are standing in a doorway to an everchanging environment,
but are continually kept apart from it by the egyptian symbols of protection.
The phrase "I love you" changes a persons life if it is said
from the point of truth.
These are not just soft words, they imply selfless
sacrifice, standing firm in times of difficulty, loving the unlovable.
However,
I believe the strongest and most powerful love given
(this is the deepest
and the most truthful - and sometimes the most difficult) is the love
given to oneself.
