Surrealism experiment with pencils

Philosophy

Practically - After having spent quite a time drawing preparatory sketches I proceeded with a light drawing in graphite, and slowly worked into this modern wall art work with both graphite and coloured pencils.

Philosophically - As far as mystical pictures go I regard this as an image of irony.

In one sense here is seen a neglected place surrounded by riddles and confusing images which try to put off any serious attempt at penetration or investigation. However, this is not a forgotten place and has never been empty or hidden - it is here ... at this very moment ... for all to see ... rich and powerful!

It just needs to be looked at in a different way ... and then it will be seen for what it truly is.
