medieval style linocut

Pilgims pass St Jacques church, Aubeterre-sur-dronne

Pilgims pass St Jacques church, Aubeterre-sur-dronne

An experimental return to an old technique - linocutting and woodblocks.
This is a thrilling way to work ... even using the ancient hand printing technique (ie - the bone folder!).
I have also decided to produce imagery in the celtic/romano tradition popular during the 11th to about the 16th century.

The illustration itself portrays pilgrims 'reading' stone images as they pass St Jacques church, Aubeterre-sur-dronne.
