Surrealism experiment with pencils

Philosophy

Practically - After having spent quite a time drawing preparatory sketches I proceeded with a light drawing in graphite, and slowly worked into this work with both graphite and coloured pencils.

Philosophically - Standing firm in any situation requires not a physical strength
but rather a specific strength of will.

There is also a strange and creative irony here - the will is one of the higher powers of the soul, and is the one that moves through and within the other powers.
