Surrealism experiment with pastels

Philosophy

Practically - With this pastel art I wanted to keep the highly saturated colours to remain at their maximum ... in deed, I even put complimentary colours side by side in order to emphasize them.

Philosophically - There are times when a frail idea is conceived ... its birth is so intense that to continue to pursue the childlike thought is like drawing near to the sun with a hammer, and striking the surface with such a blow that a tiny spark flies screaming into the depths of the soul ... to give knowledge, understanding and strength of will to any immature creative impulse - and to burn up and violently destroy those wisplike thoughts which persist in seeking to lure one towards the pathetic lusts of the body.
